Two Poems

Christopher Deweese

Big Empty (Industrial Mix)

Drinking Shasta in my car
Falling birds are just where we are

Too much walking blues don’t freak
Stay up listening to Soul to Squeeze

The fog won’t burn off
It’s smoking cigarettes

Let’s drive some more
This combo’s great with pills

Tie more kids to Mom
Her face is always mean

Freshmen (Galleria Mix)

I camp in bells
For the life of me

Weed on the floor
A puke full of ice-cream

An emotional moment
Of food-bank rice milk

I cannot believe
We’re omniscient

Then I remember
I won’t be held responsible
